3D Furniture Design and Visualization Support for a Leading UK Furniture Company

Archvizly case study banner for 3D Furniture Design and photorealistic visualization delivered to a leading UK furniture company

A leading UK furniture company partnered with Archvizly for 3D furniture design, moving its product visualization pipeline from traditional sample production and studio photography to CGI. The goal was to launch new furniture lines faster, reduce production costs, and maintain consistent, high quality catalog imagery across a growing product range.

The Challenge

Before working with Archvizly, the client relied on a physical sample for every new furniture design, followed by studio photography for each product. This created several recurring problems:

Photography turnaround was slow, often delaying product launches until a physical sample was built, shipped, and photographed.

Producing a physical sample for every SKU added significant manufacturing and logistics cost, particularly for products that were later redesigned or discontinued before reaching volume production.

Catalog imagery varied in lighting, styling, and quality from one photography batch to the next, making it difficult to maintain a consistent look across the product range.

New SKUs could not be listed or marketed online until a physical unit existed, limiting how quickly the client could respond to design changes and market demand.

The Archvizly Approach to 3D Furniture Rendering

Archvizly modeled and rendered the client’s furniture collection directly from technical drawings and CAD files, using the same architectural 3D modeling services workflow Archvizly applies to building projects and removing the need for a physical prototype at the imagery stage. To keep new renders visually consistent with the client’s existing photography, Archvizly matched the established packshot style, lighting, and framing already used across the client’s website and catalogs, so new 3D imagery sat seamlessly alongside legacy photography.

Over a three month engagement, Archvizly modeled and rendered more than 470 furniture pieces, delivering:

Packshot style catalog images for individual products

Full room scene renders showing furniture in styled interior settings

Lifestyle scenes for marketing and campaign use

Short animations for select hero products

The room scenes drew on the same interior rendering services Archvizly uses for architecture and design clients, applied here to furniture. A structured review process kept revisions to a minimum, with 97 percent of deliverables approved after a single review round. This let the client’s internal team move from render to publish without repeated rounds of feedback, keeping the production schedule predictable across a large product range.

The Results

Working from CAD rather than physical samples changed how quickly the client could bring new products to market. Photography related production costs dropped by 60 percent, since new SKUs no longer required a physical sample and studio session before launch. Product listings using the new 3D renders saw a 40 percent increase in conversion compared to previous photography based listings, and the client was able to launch new furniture lines without waiting for manufacturing and studio scheduling to align.

Client Feedback

“Working with Archvizly changed how we launch products. We used to wait weeks for samples and photography before a single new design could go live. Now we get consistent, on brand imagery straight from CAD, in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost.”

Why It Matters

For furniture brands managing large or fast moving product ranges, 3D visualization removes the dependency on physical samples and studio photography. It supports faster launches, lower production costs, and consistent catalog imagery at scale, without compromising on the visual quality customers expect.
